New Delhi: Karan Johar is celebrating a decade of his third directorial venture 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' today, which explored the themes of adultery and extramarital affairs.

 

The 44-year-old actor took to his Twitter handle to share his thoughts about the "most special film" of his career.

 

"#10YearsOfKANK the most special film of my career...a film that found love in retrospect and in abundance..." he tweeted.


The filmmaker, in another tweet, expressed his gratitude to Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee, for making his movie "special."

Big-B too took to his Twitter handle to share his thoughts, saying, " #10YearsOfKANK amazing, itni jaldi samay nikal gaya , just the other day we were all in NYC for shoot ..!!"

 

'KANK,' with the tag-line - "A Love.... That Broke All Relationships," was a success internationally, especially in the United States.

 

It became the highest grossing Indian film of all time overseas at the time of its release. The film was screened in over 1,200 cinemas worldwide, grossing a worldwide total of Rs.1.13 billion.

 

'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' was screened at the Tokyo International Film Festival and the script was invited to be included in the library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
