Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar recently announced the multi-starrer historical saga ‘Takht’ which features some of the most loved stars in the Hindi film industry. It won’t be wrong to say that KJo has managed to pull off a casting coup by bringing on-board stalwarts like Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Alia Bhatt for the film. The ‘Dhadak’ producer, however, has attracted the ire of the netizens on social media, who have accused him of nepotism and only promoting the star kids.

Ever since Kangana Ranaut called Karan Johar the ‘Flag bearer of nepotism in Bollywood’, the tag seems to have stayed with him. When the ‘Raazi’ producer announced his upcoming film ‘Takht’, Twitter exploded with ‘nepotism shouts’.

The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director, who is known for his wit, replied to some of the users on Twitter who expressed their displeasure at Takht’s casting.

Karan had the hilarious response to an user who said that Takht will be produced under #Nepotismismyname Productions.

KJo also replied to a fan who alleged that he was favouring his industry friends.

Talking about ‘Takht’, Karan is expected to shoot for the film from next year. The ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’ director has a couple of exciting projects in his kitty. The 46-year-old is producing Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt’s ‘Brahmastra’, Tiger Shroff’s ‘Student of the Year 2’ and Varun Dhawan’s ‘Kalank’.
