New Delhi: Kannada actor Bullet Prakash, known for his amazing comedy timing, passed away on Monday (April 6). He was 44. The ‘Aithalakkadi’ actor, who had worked in over 300 films, was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru on Sunday (April 5).  The 'Saheba' actor was hospitalized because of liver infection and gastric issues. The doctors put him on a ventilator after he suffered from kidney and liver related ailments.

According to a report in a leading daily, the ‘Aryan’ actor had lost 35 kgs in the last five months and this led to several health issues for him.

Several fans took to Twitter to mourn Bullet Prakash's death.






Bullet Prakash's untimely demise has shocked the entire Sandalwood industry. Celebs like Tharun Sudhir and Dhanajay offered condolence on Twitter.

Tharun Sudhir wrote," #BulletPrakash A Talented actor...a Great Friend...and a wonderful soul...We lost you.... Rest in Peace my friend... may god give strength to your family.. Om Shanthi Folded hands."


Dhanajay tweeted, " Rest in peace sir."


"RIP Bullet Prakash," Karthik Gowda wrote on the micro-blogging site.


On the professional front, Bullet Prakash made his acting debut with ‘Dhruva’. He has featured in several Kannada and Tamil films. Prakash, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2015, got the nickname ‘Bullet’ because he rode  the motorbike- Royal Enfield Bullet.

His hit films include ‘Jackie’, ‘Mast Maja Maadi’, ‘Bombay Mittai’ and ‘Bheeshma’. Prakash has shared screen-space with Sandalwood stalwarts like Puneeth Rajkumar, Upendra, Sudeep, Darshan, to name a few.

Bullet Prakash also participated in 'Bigg Boss Kannada 2'.
