New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s tussle with the Shiv Sena became the talk of the town. Earlier this month, the ‘Panga’ actress arrived at Mumbai amid protests from the Shiv Sena workers at the airport. Before her arrival, a team of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation demolished parts of her property, ‘citing illegal alterations’. Kangana moved the High Court to stop the demolition drive.

The ‘Manikarnika’ actress, who is quite active on social media, has now said that the BMC served notices to her neighbours on Tuesday (September 29). She also alleged that the civic body threatened her neighbours and asked them to ‘socially isolate’ her.

“Today @mybmc has served notices to all my neighbors, @mybmc had threatened them to socially isolate me, they were told if they supported me they would break their houses as well. My neighbors have not said anything against Maharashtra government please spare their houses,” Kangana tweeted.



The hearing for Kangana’s plea against BMC’s demolition drive took place in the Bombay High Court on Tuesday. The HC has adjourned the matter till October 5 for written submissions.

The ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ actress’ writ petition was heard by a Bench of Justices SJ Kathawalla and RI Chagla. In her plea, the 'Tanu Weds Manu' star has sought HC directions to declare the demolition carried out by the the civic body. She has also demanded Rs two crore as damages from the BMC.

Kangana sparked a row after she compared Mumbai with Pakistan occupied Kashmir. She alleged that Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut asked her not to return to Mumbai and issued an open threat to her. Several tinsel town celebs came in support after the BMC demolished parts of her property.

The ‘Queen’ actress had launched a scathing attack at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray in her video message and said that his ego would also get destroyed like her bungalow was demolished.

On the professional front, Kangana will be next seen in 'Thalaivi'. The 'Fashion' star has started rehearsing for the dance sequences in the upcoming biopic. The National Award winning actress will essay the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister  J Jayalalithaa in 'Thalaivi'.


Kangana also has 'Dhaakad' and 'Tejas' in her kitty.
