New Delhi: Twitter India suspended Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel’s account after she posted a series of controversial tweets about the recent Moradabad stone pelting incident. Rangoli had received flak on social media for her incendiary post, which targeted a community. Kangana Ranaut has finally reacted to the controversy surrounding the suspension of Rangoli’s Twitter account.


The ‘Manikarnika’ actress strongly came out in her sister’s defence and said that Rangoli didn’t promote the idea of genocide of Muslim believers in any way. The Pahadi beauty further appealed to the Central government to ‘demolish’ such social media sites.

Kangana also spoke about Babita Phogat and how she is getting threats after speaking her mind on Twitter. The wrester-turned-politician was embroiled into a controversy after she tweeted about Tablighi Jamaat. The ‘Queen’ actress expressed concern about Phogat’s safety and said that the Centre should arrange some security for her.

Rangoli had issued a statement after her Twitter account was suspended, calling the micro-blogging site 'anti-India'.

"Twitter is an American platform absolutely biased and anti India, you can make fun of Hindu Gods call Prime Minister and Home Minister terrorists but if you say anything about people pelting stones on health workers and Police forces they suspend your account, I have no desire of empowering any such platforms with my perspective and honest opinions, so I am not reviving my account, I was my sisters spokes person now watch out for her direct interviews, she is a huge star she has many ways of reaching out , a biased platform can be easily avoided," she said.



Kangana, last seen in ‘Panga’, is currently in Manali with her family members. She flew to the hill station before the lockdown was announced.

On the professional front, The actress will be next seen in ‘Thalaivi’, in which she is essaying the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. The ‘Gangster’ actress also has 'Tejas' and 'Dhaakad' in her kitty.
