Meanwhile, actress Kangana Ranaut, who has been quite vocal with her opinions in the SSR's case since the beginning, alleged that Mumbai Police Commissioner liked a ‘derogatory tweet’ in her name on social media giving out a message that the actress is not safe in the country.

The 'Panga' actress had recently alleged that she feared the Mumbai Police more than the "movie mafia". In another statement, the actress also alleged that the city police force encouraged crime and bullying against her on social media.

The controversy heated up further when Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut criticized the actress for insulting the Mumbai police and the city despite earning her living there. The leader in party's mouthpiece 'Saamana' said that Kangana should not come back to Mumbai from her hometown as she does not feel safe in the financial capital.

As stated in the reports, Raut in the 'Saamana' blog said, "We kindly request her not to come in Mumbai. This is nothing but an insult to the Mumbai police. The Home Ministry should take action over it."

Slamming Raut's remarks, Kanagna once again took to the Twitter alleging that "Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir." Her tweet read: "Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?"
