New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Friday (December 3) shared a video on social media, alleging that her car was attacked by a mob as she entered Punjab from Himachal Pradesh. She said that the people, who surrounded her vehicle, claimed to be farmers. The ‘Panga’ star added that the crowd abused her and also issued a death threat.
"As I entered Punjab, a mob has attacked my car. They are saying they are farmers," Kangana wrote while sharing the video on her Instagram story. "If the police officers were not present here, lynching would have happened," the National Award-winning artist said in her video.
"I arrived from Himachal to Punjab as my flight was cancelled. My vehicle has been surrounded by a mob, who claim to be farmers. They are attacking me, hurling abuses and threatening to kill me," she said.
According to a report in ANI, the farmers stopped Kangana's car near Ropar and protested against the 'Manikarnika' actress over her statements on farmers' protest. The protestors sought an apology from Ranaut for her remarks against the farmers, who protested against the farm laws that were recently repealed. They also waved flags and shouted slogans against the 'Fashion' actress.
Kangana Filed FIR After Getting Death Threats
Earlier this week, Kangana filed a complaint after receiving death threats over her social media posts on farm law protestors. She had urged interim Congress president Sonia Gandhi to direct the Punjab government to initiate action in the matter.
"I am getting constant threats from disruptive forces on this very post of mine. A brother of Bathinda has openly threatened to kill me. I am not afraid of this type of threats," the 'Queen' star wrote in Hindi while sharing a copy of the FIR.

Kangana Ranaut's Upcoming Films
On the professional front, Kangana was last seen in 'Thalaivii'. The biographical drama was based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The film couldn't set the box office on fire as cinema halls in Maharashtra, key contributor to theatrical business, were closed.
The 34-year-old has several exciting projects in her kitty including 'Tejas', 'Dhaakad' and 'The Incarnation: Sita'.
