Mumbai: Bollywood star Kajol penned a heartfelt post for her mother and veteran actress Tanuja, who turned a year older on Thursday (September 23). She shared a video compilation of special moments with her mom on her official Instagram handle.
Kajol Calls Tanuja ‘Tedi Medi Crazy Woman’
The ‘Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham’ star called Tanuja her ‘life coach’ and ‘best friend’ while sharing the video on social media. She said that she is lucky to be her daughter.
“The real Tedhi Medhi Crazy amazing woman in my life. Cheerleader to life coach and my best friend. Lucky to be your daughter. I love you mommy. Happy Birthday,” Kajol wrote. Fans have flooded the comments section with their messages and wishes.
Kajol surprised her mother by hosting a birthday dinner for her and Tanishaa Mukerji. She shared a glimpse from the celebrations on social media. "Happy happy birthday .... celebrations continue," the caption for the post read.
Tanishaa wished her mother in style by sharing an Instagram reel. The 'Bigg Boss 7' contestant wrote, "Yup u threw a pillow and made me. Happy birthday mommy! U are my gift and I love u! "
Tanishaa posted another photo from the fun-filled birthday celebrations. She thanked her elder sister Kajol in her post. "Happy birthday my darling mom!! Thank u @kajol for making this happen!," Mukerji wrote.
Tanuja, who is the recipient of two Filmfare Awards, worked in several hit films in 60s and 70s. Some of her popular movies include ‘Chand Aur Suraj’, ‘Baharen Phir Bhi Aayengi’, ‘Haathi Mere Saathi’ and ‘Jewel Thief’.
Talking about Kajol, the 'Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior' actress was last seen in 'Tribhanga'. The film , which premiered on Netflix, was directed by Renuka Shahane.
