New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood actor Kader Khan, who was known for his impeccable comic timing, breathed his laston Tuesday. He was 81. The ‘Aunty No. 1’ actor was admitted to a hospital in Canada where he was living with his son Sarfaraz and daughter-in-law for the past few years. The last rites of the ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’ actor will take place in Canada.


As soon as the news of Kader Khan’s death circulated, fans and Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to pay their respect to the actor. Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal and filmmaker BVS Ravi mourned the death of one of the finest gems of Hindi Cinema.

Big B, who had earlier prayed for Khan's recovery, expressed his condolence on the micro-blogging site.

''Kadar Khan passes away .. sad depressing news .. my prayers and condolences .. a brilliant stage artist a most compassionate and accomplished talent on film .. a writer of eminence ; in most of my very successful films .. a delightful company .. and a mathematician !!,'' the 'Brahmastra' actor tweeted.


Arjun Kapoor, who was last seen in 'Namastey England', said that Kader Khan left a void in the industry which can't filled.


''It’s sad to know that #KaderKhan sir passed away. He’s a great talent with impeccable impromptu ability of writing n a stellar actor with a razor edge timing. Good bye,'' BVS Ravi tweeted.


Paresh Rawal, who was worked with Kader Khan in films like 'Haseena Maan Jayegi', expressed his condolences on Twitter. The actor posted, "RIP. Kadar Saab."

Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan also mourned the death of the actor.


Textiles Minister Smriti Irani paid a heartfelt tribute to Kader Khan on Twitter.

''If you were a late 80s-90s kid who watched Hindi films, chances are you encountered the magic of Kader Khan. Never had the privilege of meeting him but if I ever had I would say ‘ thank you for the laughter, thank you for your craft’ #RIPKaderKhan,'' she tweeted.


Manoj Bajpayee tweeted, ''Rest in peace Kader khan saheb.''


Kader Khan, who made his acting debut in 1973 with Rajesh Khanna’s 'Daag',  had an illustrious career spanning over 45 years. The actor was also a screenwriter and he wrote dialogues for over 250 films. He collaborated with David Dhawan and Govinda for films like 'Coolie No. 1', 'Saajan Chale Sasural' or 'Hero No. 1'.
