An actor-writer-comedian and Quranic scholar, the multi-talented Kader Khan died after a prolonged illness at a hospital in Toronto in Canada. He was 81. The veteran actor passed away on December 31, 6 pm according to Canadian time (on Tuesday 4 a.m according to IST ). The sad news of Kader Khan's passing shocked the Bollywood fraternity on New Year's Day, when it broke early on Tuesday morning. Various Bollywood celebs including megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Govinda among others took to social media to express grief on the actor's demise.

Reportedly, Kader Khan's last rites were to be held in a Toronto cemetery yesterday. But according to latest reports, all cemeteries were closed in Canada hence the final rites will be performed today. According to an entertainment portal, the veteran's actor's body has been kept in a Masjid and his burial will take place today at around 12am after namaaz.
The SpotboyE report further states that, Kader Khan's daughter-in-law fed him his last meal was on Thursday as refused to ate it from the nurse's hand. When asked by his son Sardaraz's wife if he liked the hospital food, Kader Khan shook his head and said 'No' by shaking his head. Later, she quietly get him food from home & he shook his head saying 'Yes' (that he wanted to eat that food). This was his last meal & words (said through actions) before his death.
Khan is survived by his wife Hajra, sons Sarfaraz Khan-Shahnawaz Khan, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Kader Khan was born in Kabul & made his acting debut in 1973 with Rajesh Khanna's "Daag" post which he featured in over 300 films.
