For all the 90s kids, Judwaa 2 will surely take you on to a nostalgia trip! A reboot of Salman Khan's 1997 super hit flick Judwaa, Judwaa 2 that stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles is also directed by David Dhawan. The twin comedy, follows the story of the original with a new setting and situations.

STORY: Raja and Prem ( both Varun Dhawan) are born as conjoined identical twins, who have similar reflexes which happens one in every 8 million cases as per the doctor. However the newborn are separated at birth by a smuggler, Charles (Zakir Hussain), who kidnaps Raja only to throw him later at a railway track! While the strong and rowdy Raja is later saved and raised by a local fisherwoman, geek Prem grows up in the lap of luxury in London with his parents, the Malhotras. What happens when these twins' paths cross is all about the movie which is too much fun.

REVIEW: So does this reboot do justice to the original? My answer after watching this flick is a yes! With his quirky antics and charm, just 8 films old Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan never fails to impress his fans, And once again the actor entertained his fans despite the hunk stepping into a real big shoes this time in 'Judwaa 2'. The movie certainly lacks emotions in-fact the emotional scenes look more like comic ones but you can ignore these flaws as the laughter riot has many hilarious scenes that will make you laugh out loud in the theatres.

DIRECTION: David Dhawan was regarded as the undisputed comedy king of the 90s and the veteran director uses his experience well in the movie. He helmed Salman Khan starrer Judwaa in 1997 and now he is back with the reboot version of his same movie and off-course who can deliver it better than the man himself. As a director Dhawan holds grip on the characters throughout the movie and extracts the best from all the actors and supporting cast.

ACTING: Varun Dhawan as Raja and Prem has totally nailed it and it won't be wrong to call him the reboot version of Salman Khan. The actor's spectacular performance will make you cheer loudly for him. Varun doesn't let you down throughout the movie whether he is playing a geek Prem or rowdy Raja you will fall in love with his character. The actor delivers some seeti-worthy dialogues, believe me audience go crazy every time when Varun does that perfect pelvic thrusts in the movie.

Varun Dhawan as Raja & Prem in 'Judwaa 2'

Both the girls Jacqueline Fernandez as Alishka and Taapsee Pannu Samaira did their parts well in this movie that is totally owned by Varun Dhwan. My personal favourite is Jacqueline who is opposite Raja in the movie, the actress looks every bit of a seductress in the movie. Taapsee looks more like a girl-next-door in the movie when compared to Jacqueline.

Taapsee & Jacqueline in a still from the movie

The surprise element in the movie is the 'original Judwaa' Salman Khan who makes a guest appearance at the end of the film with all the four Judwaas grooving to Tan Tana Tan!

MUSIC: Music department is a huge letdown in the movie and only the revamped songs- Oonchi Hai Building & Tan Tana Tan is the ones that you will remember after coming out from the cinema hall.

Overall the movie is a popcorn entertainer and a perfect Dusherra gift from Varun Dhawan to his fans that you can definitely opt for this weekend with your family. After the over-dramatic 'Bhoomi' & 'Haseena Parkar' last week, laughter riot is surely a nice option for movie lovers.
