And this is when Boman appears in his original self on screen saying "specialist ka kaam specialist hi kar sakta hai, mustard oil ke liye bharosa kariye sirf..." promoting the mustard oil brand he shot the TVC sequence for. Also interestingly, the Ad is directed by Boman's son Kayoze Irani. 31 yr old Kayoze is also an actor and has featured in Bollywood films like 'Student of The Year' and 'Youngistaan'.
Watch the TVC feturing Johny Lever's son Jamie with Boman Irani, below:
Jamie is thrilled to have shot this Ad with Boman and he posted pictures posing with the veteran actor on his social media page captioning them- "Shot this fun, crazy TVC (my first actually) for @pmarkmustardoil with the amazing @boman_irani Sir ???????? directed by: @kayozeirani Thank you to everyone at #iranimovietone #love #peace #joy #thankyoulord ❤️"
He also posted a screen grab from the TVC getting punched by Boman Irani on his Insta-story but wrote in text over it- "Bohot maara Boman Irani Sir ne! But every punch is a blessing for me"
Jesse Lever's Insta story
For the unversed, Johny Lever's son Jesse has also battled cancer at the mere age of 10 back in 2000. Father Johny Lever while talking about his film career, opened up on his son's struggle in an interview with TOI in 2014. He was asked 'You were a part of practically every film in the 90s, but then disappeared in the last decade. Was that by design?'. He replied, "In 2000, my son Jesse was only ten when he was detected with tumour. That changed my life and it made me forget comedy. I did only one film and one show in one year. It was not financially enough, but I did not want to reduce the money as it lowers your position as an artiste. I felt without my asking, God had brought me to this position, now it is my job to maintain it. I sacrificed both roles and shows, but did not agree to work for less".
And while Jesse, who's also a singer and a drummer, just made his acting debut, he does not want to do comedy like his dad. He told HT in 2017- "Initially, I thought I should only do comedy and stand-up, like dad. But when I started doing stand-up, all my acts flopped! On the other hand, I bagged many best actor awards when I acted in serious roles in college plays. I decided to focus on drama and music".
On a related note, Jesse-Jamie's father Johny Lever has finally got on to the Instagram page too and the veteran Bollywood actor has already made two updates upon his Instagram debut with also actor Vrajesh Hirjee giving him warm welcome through one of these, in a video message.
Jonhy Lever captioned his first pic: "Hello! It's good to see you here.."
And in the message with the video he wrote: "My first #instagram video..Thanks @vrajeshhirjee for this one. Many more to come. Stay tuned!"
