New Delhi: Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan's closing sequence in 'Pathaan' saw them debating which younger actors would replace them. The end-credit scene was the most loved part of the movie, with Salman's Tiger and Shah Rukh's Pathaan ultimately rejecting everyone in the process.

Now, in the promo clip for their forthcoming comedy show, Pop Kaun, seasoned actors Saurabh Shukla and Johnny Lever, who are known for their comedic timing, have hilariously rehashed Shah Rukh and Salman's scene. As Shah Rukh and Salman did in the 'Pathaan' sequence, Saurabh Shukla and Johnny Lever are shown in a Disney Hotstar trailer on Thursday talking about the future of comedy in India and who will carry on their legacy while sitting on a bridge. They eventually agreed they could not leave it to the new comics.

The caption of the promo shared on Instagram read, "Kursi ki peti baandh lijiye mausam bigadne nahi, comedy hone wala hai (Fasten your seat belts as the weather is not going to be bad, but comedy is going to happen)!"

In the video, Johnny spoke to Saurabh while trying to imitate Shah Rukh Khan from the 'Pathaan' end-credit scene. Including Kapil Sharma, who "invites people on his TV show," the two debate and dismiss every comedian they can think of.

"I have been doing this (comedy) for 30 years now. Sometimes, I think about leaving all this behind me. But I worry who can take our place?," Saurabh said.

"Desh ki comedy ka sawal hai yaar, bacho pe nahi chod sakte hai. Hume hi kuch karna padega (The country's comedy scene is at stake, we cannot leave it upto the kids, we have to do something)," Johnny said.
