New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan has managed to pull huge crowds with 'Jawan', even larger than his last release, 'Pathaan'. The highly anticipated movie released in theaters on Thursday. The actor makes his South debut in the eagerly awaited 2023 film, as he works with Tamil director Atlee for the first time. Along with Deepika Padukone making a cameo appearance, the movie also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the major roles.

A bunch of celebrities praised the movie and gave it rave reviews on social media.

Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' was greeted by fans with a flurry of whistles, drumbeats, crackers and even his cut-out was bathed in milk. However, after being pirated online hours before its official release, Jawan is now freely downloadable on apps like Telegram and torrent websites. Fans of Shah Rukh Khan are miffed that 'Jawan' can be seen in mediocre quality on a number of websites. Some people were concerned that the movie's leak might affect how well it did at the box office.

A special screening of Jawan was hosted on Wednesday night at the YRF Studios, and several Bollywood celebrities were there. Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Suhana Khan, Mukesh Chhabra, and more celebrities were invited.

Meanwhile, early estimates predict that the movie will earn more than Pathaan's opening-day total of Rs 57 crore and reach Rs 73 crore.  According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie is anticipated to pull in Rs 65 crore from the Hindi market and Rs 4 crore each from the Tamil and Telugu markets, bringing the net total to Rs 73 crore.  The movie is anticipated to earn Rs 84.50 crore collectively.
