New Delhi: As Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan released in theatres on Thursday, fans across the country celebrated the release of the film in various ways. Shah Rukh Khan’s magic was not limited to North India this time, but a frenzy was also seen in South India. Jawan is directed by Atlee and features South superstars Vijay Sethupathi, and Nayanthara.
Various videos of the fans dancing and enjoying inside and outside the theatres are doing the rounds on the internet. Shah Rukh Khan fans have been going berserk outside theatres, celebrating the film's success with drums and firecrackers.
The shows of the films started as early as 5 AM and videos of moviegoers dancing inside the theatres started doing the rounds on the internet. In one of the viral tweets, the crowd can be seen dancing and cheering at Mumbai's Gaiety Galaxy during the first show in the early morning.
Some fans showed up with bandages on their heads, as a tribute to one of the many looks that Shah Rukh dons in the movie. In Mumbai, fans performed a mini Ganesh Chaturthi Dahi Handi ritual outside the theatre.
In Bangalore, fans were seen bursting firecrackers, and a king-size hoarding of Shah Rukh Khan was garlanded.
Shah Rukh also thanked his fans for their gestures, and wrote, “Love u boys and girls I hope u enjoy the entertainment. Kept awake to see u go to the theater. Big love and thanks.”

The film, also featuring Sanjay Dutt, Sanya Malhotra, Priaymani, has already made Rs 51.17 crore globally and 32.47 crore at the domestic box office, surpassing the first-day collection of Pathaan which was 32 crore in India.
