New Delhi: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan left for his heavenly abode on April 24, leaving everyone teary-eyed. The talented actor, who impressed everyone with his power-packed performances, passed away due to colon infection in Mumbai’s Kokilaben hospital. Several tinsel town celebs including Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranveer Singh mourned his death on social media.

Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared an emotional post, thanking the actor as Mumbai witnessed its first rains of the season. She wrote, "Thank you soooo much I hear you ...yes I know it's from you to me and it touched my body and soul.. Between the two realms we have the rain connecting us."

Sutapa posted two pictures and video along with her heartfelt post on Facebook. Check it out!

Sutapa had earlier shared throwback pictures of Irrfan on his one-month death anniversary. She wrote, “Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I'll meet you there. When the soul lies down in that grass the world is too full to talk about." It's just a matter of time...milenge baaten karenge.... Till we meet again.”

Irrfan and Sutapa, who tied the knot in February 1995, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary earlier this year. The couple fell in love on the campus of National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi.

Sutapa provided rock solid support to Irrfan, who was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018. Although, she hardly made a public appearance with the ‘Piku’ actor; she was his ‘pillar of support’.

Irrfan’s elder son Babil Khan often shares pictures and videos of his late father on social media. From posting a video of Irrfan jumping into freezing cold water to sharing pictures from their family vacation, Babil has treated fans with several throwback gems.

On the professional front, Irrfan Khan was last seen in ‘Angrezi Medium’. The film co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Radhika Madan was the last theatrical release before lockdown was announced to combat the spread of COVID-19.
