Indian batsmen Suryakumar Yadav started off his international career with a bang as he smashed a six on the very first delivery he faced. The right-hand batsmen displayed his amazing skills on the ground as he became the fifth Indian player to score fifty runs in his maiden T20 match. His innings was cut short after a controversial third umpire decision, which left several fans disappointed.


Many Bollywood celebs including Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar and Vikrant Massey also expressed their displeasure over Yadav’s controversial dismissal. Ranveer, who will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83', tweeted, "Sorry but Dawid Malan totally dropped that for me...the ball was grounded ! I mean , come on."

Vikrant Massey didn't mince his words and called out the decision, terming it as 'inconclusive'. The 'Mirzapur' star wrote, "Tough luck @surya_14kumar A brilliant knock by you was cut short by amateur & inconclusive decision making by the Third Umpire. Downright ridiculous."



"Well played @surya_14kumar, Great knock. Tragic end," Farhan Akhtar tweeed. The 'Toofan' star praised the batsman for his glorious knock against England.



Singer Shreya Ghoshal, who is expecting her first child, lauded Yadav for hitting a fifty in his maiden T20I match. She tweeted, “Was cheering for @surya_14kumar Very well played! Disappointed by umpire’s decision for declaring it out. To me it was clearly not out. We all are so proud of you Surya.@soumghoshal & you played together as kids in the same Anushaktinagar colony ground. Feeling so happy for you!”


The ‘Ghoomar’ singer revealed that her brother Soumyadeep Ghoshal and Suryakumar Yadav played together when they were kids. Check out her tweet!



Team India defeated England by eight runs to level the five match series 2-2. Suryakumar Yadav bagged the man of the match award for his impressive performance in the fourth T20I at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.
