The controversy started after Kangana called Duggu her 'silly ex' after which Hrithik sent a legal notice Kangana[READ HERE..]. Private emails were leaked and Kangana blamed Hrithik for sending her around 50 mails whereas Hrithik said that it was the work of an imposter.

The emails exchanged suggested that Kangana and Hrithik were in a relationship, but the 'Dhoom 2' star denied it and claimed that he was not aware about these mails until it became a big scandal. Kangana, however claimed that Hrithik was lying and he himself gave her the email address.
Now the case has finally come to an end as a forensic probe by the Mumbai police into the email account of an alleged Hrithik Roshan imposter has failed to draw any definite conclusions.

While talking to Mumbai Mirror Sanjay Saxena, joint commissioner of police, Crime Branch said, "We have been unable to find anything on the mail ID as the server is located in the US. Now it is very difficult to ascertain who was using the account. Still, we will try to conclude [the case] from the available evidence."
“It’s a dead end. Only data from the server based in the US could have helped us in identifying the user of the email account,” a senior police officer said.
Kangana’s lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, said the “NIL report” showed that there was no imposter as claimed by Hrithik.

“We are not surprised to learn that the police have, after a thorough investigation, filed a NIL report, which means that they could not trace any imposter as was claimed by Hrithik Roshan… Kangana has always been maintaining that there was no imposter ever,” Siddiquee said.
