New Delhi: After creating anticipation with the film’s posters, the makers of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gully Boy’ have unveiled a trailer announcement video on Friday. Movie buffs won’t have to wait much for Gully Boy’s trailer as it will be out on January 9. The makers opted for a unique strategy to announce the film’s trailer and they released a new rap song ‘Asli Hip Hop’. Interestingly, the rap has been crooned by none other than Ranveer.


The song is quite catchy and it has given us a small hint of what we can expect from the Zoya Akhtar directorial. The video starts with beat-box sounds and gives us a glimpse of the character played by Ranveer. We also see the introduction of Alia Bhatt in a de-glam look and it will remind you of 'Udta Punjab' where the 'Raazi' actress sported a similar look. Kalki Koechlin, who makes a blink and you miss appearance, can be seen kissing Ranveer in the teaser.

Ranveer, who has received praises for all the corners for his performance in Rohit Shetty's Simmba', took to Instagram and Twitter to share the video of ‘Asli Hip Hop’. Check it out!


‘Gully Boy’ is based on the lives of Vivian Fernandes aka Divine and Naved Shaikh aka Naezy, who are known for their song ‘Mere Gully Mein’. The film produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment will hit the silver screens on February 14.

Fans are super excited to see Ranveer and Alia together for the very first time in a film and are looking forward to see their chemistry on the silver screen. Singh created ripples at the box office with his last two releases ‘Simmba’ and ‘Padmaavat’ while Alia set the cash registers jingling with ‘Raazi’. Trade pundits are expecting ‘Gully Boy’ to also rake in big moolah at the box office.
