After Germany and Poland, Ashley Lobo will now be stepping foot in Austria to collaborate with Landestheatre Linz and create a special ballet piece. Titled Yama, this will be a contemporary piece and will be a milestone for the choreographer as he becomes the only Indian asked to put together a full-length 55-minute ballet. Using his unique technique called Prana Paint™, Lobo will be working with the Austrian ballet company.
An elated Ashley Lobo said, "This is a wonderful opportunity and I'm thrilled to be working with Landestheatre Linz to create this choreography. Dance for me is about emotion and personal expression and I look forward to sharing that with Austrians."
In 2017, Lobo created a full-length contemporary ballet with the Ballet Chemnitz in Germany. In 2018, he collaborated with Polish dance company Zawirowania Dance Theatre and created a spectacular dance piece called the ‘The Crossing’ in Poland. Continuing the trend in 2019, this will be his third expansion internationally for Lobo.
