NEW DELHI: 'Thugs of Hindustan' finally got its leading lady and not surprisingly it is the 'Dangal' girl Fatima Sana Shaikh who has bagged the role opposite Aamir Khan. It is the second time, Fatima will be collaborating with Aamir. Their first venture 'Dangal' in which she played the role of his daughter was a blockbuster.


The Vijay Krishna Acharya directorial also has megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Vijay Krishna who is best known for his 'Dhoom' franchise will be second time directing Mr. Perfectionist after 'Dhoom 3'.

The Yash Raj Films announced the inclusion of the new member in their movie on the official website.“The role of the girl is pivotal to the film so it was crucial for us to find the perfect fit. Through a rigorous round of auditions and action workshops, we found in Fatima a truly dedicated actor and a gifted performer of action. We are very happy to have found the perfect girl for our film," said writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya.

There was a lot of commotion regarding the heroine of the film. Reports said that Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Vani Kapoor were also being considered but Fatima became the lucky one to be cast in the movie. Earlier, a picture of Fatima went viral, said to be from the look test of 'Thugs of Hindustan'.

'Thugs of Hindustan' will go on floor from June 1 and it is set for 2018 Diwali release.
