New Delhi: Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer 'Gadar' was a major blockbuster when it released in the 90s. So, when 'Gadar 2' was announced, fans could not contain their excitement. Now, makers have launched the first look of 'Gadar 2' starring Sunny Deol. Sunny Deol as a rugged hero returns in 'Gadar 2'as we see him uproot cartwheels during an action sequence.
Anil Sharma directorial 'Gadar 2's teaser brings back memories from the prequel where we saw Sunny lift a hand pump from the ground while fighting the bad goons. Zee Studios shared a lineup of films which will be released in 2023 which also see 'Gadar 2'.
Sunny Deol's look from 'Gadar' as a turbaned Sikh is retained and his style of speaking dialogues will also bring memories from the first film. Sunny Deol portrayed the role of Tara Singh in 'Gadar'.
Fans and viewers flooded the comments section. “Last glimpse of Gadar 2 Goosebumps," a user wrote. “And there comes Tara Singh in Pakistan full goosebumps,” added another one. Someone also predicted, “Gadar 2 will be a superhit and if it is as good as Gadar 1 it will be a Blockbuster.”
For those unaware, 'Gadar' was one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films in Bollywood history at the time of release. Veteran and late actor Amrish Puri was also part of the Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer. 'Gadar 2' has been shot in various locations including Lucknow, Hindustan Times reported.
In an interview with Hindustan Times, director of 'Gadar 2' Anil Sharma said, "We have worked with the same cast and characters Tara Singh (Sunny), Sakina (Amisha) and Jeete (Utkarsh Sharma). The story too has progressed 22 years ahead. My son (Utkarsh) has grown from a kid to a youngster so it’s a natural progression for everyone. For the new audience it will be a new film and for old timers it’s a sequel.”
