Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan has emerged as one of the most sought after stars in Bollywood in recent times. The B-town heartthrob will entertain the audience with several exciting projects in the next few months. Actor often undergo training sessions and participate in workshops to get into the skin of the character. Some even undergo massive transformation to look perfect for a role in a film. Kartik also gained weight for his new film 'Freddy', which is expected to hit the silver screens next year.

Unlike other actors, Kartik adopted a different approach to gain the exta kilos for his role in 'Freddy'. He managed to gain about 12 to 14 kilos for Ekta Kapoor's film, which also stars Alaya F. Maintaining good physique has become a necessity for all the actors as they are always under the spotlight.

When Kartik was informed about the requirement, he had no qualms in gaining weight for the role. The 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' actor worked closely with trainer Samir Jaura to develop a physique required for his character in 'Freddy'. Sameer has worked with leading Bollywood stars, helping them in their transformation journeys.

Samir lauded Aaryan for his transformation and revealed that the actor achieved his look with tailor-made workouts and the right diet. He said in a statement, “Transformations aren’t just limited to shredding or getting ripped, sometimes it also involves putting on kilos and fat but doing it in a very supervised and safe manner. Kartik was able to gain 14 kilos to achieve this look with disciplined, tailor-made workouts and the right diet. His dedication is incredible because he is genetically lean so to gain the weight in that particular time frame for his role is truly commendable. In fact he has already started losing weight from his Freddy look to get ready for his next film."

On the professional front, the 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety' star will be next seen in Ram Madhvani's 'Dhamaka'. He is playing the role of a journalist in the action thriller. All eyes are on 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' as Aaryan has stepped into Akshay Kumar's shoes. The highly anticipated horror comedy also stars Kiara Advani and Tabu in key roles.
