New Delhi: Anurag Kashyap shared the first look poster of his upcoming film 'Kennedy' starring Rahul Bhat and Sunny Leone. 'Kennedy' is also the only Indian film to premiere at Cannes 2023. The 'Gangs of Wasseypur' filmmaker shared the poster on his official Instagram handle and wrote, "Aankh, Cannes sab khule rakhna...Kennedy aa raha hai! Here's the official poster of #Kennedy, which is set to premiere at Festival De Cannes later next month!
#KennedyAtCannes."

In the poster we see Rahul Bhatt wearing a mask and looking intensely at something in the distance. A moonlit sky forms the backdrop while Sunny Leone is seen in a saree in the centre of the poster screaming at something. Rahul Bhatt is also holding a paper and a gun in his hand.

Produced by Zee Studios and Good Bad Films, Kennedy features Rahul Bhat as the ex-cop.'Kennedy', according to official synopsis, is about an insomniac ex-cop who dwells in different circumstances looking for redemption. The ex-cop works secretly for the corrupt system.

Meanwhile, both of Anurag's last films have been a diversion from his style. His 'Dobaaraa' featuring Taapsee Pannu was a remake of the Spanish thriller 'Mirage'. 'Dobaaraa' did not do great business at the box office but it did generate favourable box critical and audience views.

On the other hand, 'Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat' featuring Karan Mehta and Alaya F was a romantic film directed by the auteur. The film also did not do good business at the box office but got rave reviews from critics. ‘Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat’ received a new light and fan following post its OTT release.

Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy is one of the three films to be screened at the Cannes festival’s midnight screening section. The festival will take place between May 16-27, 2023.
