New Delhi: Siddharth Anand's film ‘Fighter’ released in theatres on January 25, the day before Republic Day. The film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor. The airstrike film has only been out for six days, and so yet, its earnings are in the single digits. In the domestic market, it made Rs 7.75 crore on Day 6, which was Tuesday, according to sales estimates. Even though the Hrithik Roshan film had a significant decline on its first Monday, it continued to attract the audience on Tuesday.
According to Sacnilk, ‘Fighter’ has earned Rs 134 crore at the domestic box office after six days of release. After reaching a total of Rs 29 crore on Sunday, daily receipts this week dropped into the single digits, reaching Rs 8 crore on Monday and Rs 7.5 crore yesterday.
The aerial actioner is now aiming to earn above Rs 150 crore in India. On Monday, the film's Hindi showing achieved a total theatre occupancy rate of 12%, with major contributors being the cities of Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Mumbai, as well as the National Capital Region (NCR).
Meanwhile, R Madhavan seemed very impressed with the film and just couldn't help but praise the film on his social media. Praising the 'Fighter', he wrote, "@justSidAnand —-What an extraordinary film #Fighter is …with brilliant work by all concerned … Take a bow the entire cast and crew.. you guys have given Indian cinema a fantastic, super motivating, moving, and an archival film. This is simply going to be a hallmark of how truly international Indian cinema has become today. @iHrithik @deepikapadukone @AnilKapoor"
