Late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Dhadak' opposite Ishaan Khatter, is currently busy shooting for Aanand L Rai's 'Good Luck Jerry' in Punjab. The shooting for the upcoming film was halted on Monday (January 11) after a group of farmers demanded that the actress should make a public statement on the ongoing farmers' protest. According to a report in PTI, 20-30 farmers reached the sets of the film for a 'peaceful' protest and insisted that Janhvi make a comment in support of the farmers.

Why Was 'Good Luck Jerry' Shoot Halted?


The shoot of the film came to a halt in Bassi Pathana for two-three hours. The farmer group left the sets of 'Good Luck Jerry' after assurance from the movie's team. The makers resumed filming the sequences after the issue was resolved.


"All they wanted was assurance of support from them (the actors). When they did, the shoot was resumed. It was mutually resolved. Now the shoot is going on smoothly," Bassi Pathana's DSP Sukhminder Singh Chauhan was quoted as saying by the news agency.

Janhvi Kapoor Comes Out In Support Of Farmers, Here's Here Post!


The star kid had shared a post on her Instagram story which read, "Farmers are at the heart of our country. I recognise and value the role that they play in feeding our nation. I hope a resolution is reached soon that benefits the farmers." The 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' actress extended support to the farmers who are protesting against the farm bills and hoped for a resolution which benefits them. Her post is no longer visible as Instagram story disappear from the handle after 24 hours.

On the professional front, Janhvi has a couple of exciting projects in her kitty including 'RoohiAfza' and 'Dostana 2'. She will be seen opposite Rajkummar Rao in 'RoohiAfza', which has been produced by Dinesh Vijan. The star kid will share screen-space with Kartik Aaryan in Karan Johar's 'Dostana 2'.
