Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan recorded his statement with the Mumbai crime branch on Saturday (February 27) in connection with the complaint he filed about fake e-mails in his name to Kangana Ranaut. The ‘War’ actor arrived at the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office at 11.45 am, a day after he was summoned to appear before the crime branch to record his statement in a fake e-mails case he registered against Kangana. The ‘Super 30’ star left the building after more than two-and-a-half hours, an official told PTI.

A team of Crime Intelligence Unit officials recorded Hrithik Roshan’s statement. The paparazzi and media persons were stationed outside the commissioner’s office. The ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ actor avoided speaking to the journalists present at the spot. Roshan was seen in a t-shirt and blue denims. He sported a face mask as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

According to a report in ANI, Hrithik had filed a complaint in 2016, alleging that someone was impersonating him and emailing Kangana Ranaut from a bogus email id. The 'Panga' actress had then claimed that Roshan provided her the email id and the duo communicated through the same email id till 2014.

Hrithik, who worked with Kangana in 'Kites' and 'Krrish 3', sent a legal notice to her after she referred to him as a 'silly ex'. The 'Bang Bang' star denied having any relationship with Kangana and accused her of harassing him by sending several mails. The two tinsel town celebs have filed cases against each other.

The police officials recorded Kangana's statement after concluding that the emails were allegedly sent from the 'Queen' star's id. The fake e-mails case was transferred to the Crime Intelligence Unit from Cyber Cell after Hrithik Roshan's lawyer Mahesh Jethmalani requested the concerned authorities.

Kangana posted a tweet after Hrithik recorded his statement in the online impersonation case. She responded to one user, who shared a picture of Hrithik, his former wife Sussane Khan and Tejas Thackeray from Sanjay Khan's birthday bash.

Kangana on Friday (February 26) referred Hrithik as her ‘silly ex’ on social media while reacting to a news report. Her tweet grabbed eyeballs as she wrote, “My ‘silly ex’ is still standing at a place where time will never return.”

On the professional front, Hrithik will be next seen in ‘Fighter’ opposite Deepika Padukone. The Siddharth Anand directorial is slated to hit the silver screens on September 30, 2022.

Talking about Kangana, she will be next seen as former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in ‘Thalaivi’. It will release on April 23, 2021. The film will clash with Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Bunty Aur Babli 2’ at the box office.
