Ektaa Kapoor is gearing up for the release of her upcoming production 'The Sabarmati Report' which is based on the infamous Godhra train incident during the Gujarat riots in 2002. The Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna starrer has been courting controversy for its choice of subject during its promotion tour. Recently, at a press interaction, Ektaa Kapoor noted that her proudcution venture will aim for a 'balanced view' without any bias.

Kapoor also added that her film wished to explore the genesis of the event, without undermining other aspects of it. She emphasised that this would not mean that they are only telling one part of the story or the 'other is getting undermined' also adding that 'The Sabarmati Report' will also bring to light some lesser-known-facts involving the incident rather than offer a biased perspective.

The team was also asked if PM Narendra Modi was consulted, who happened to be the Chief Minister of Guajarat at the time. To this, Ektaa said, " I am not associated with any wing. The only wing here is the wing of truth, and it;s the fight of that wing."
