Amid huge buzz, the trailer of upcoming Bollywood film 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' got released yesterday (27th December) and is getting huge appreciation from the audience. The film, featuring Sonam Kapoor & Anil Kapoor together for the first time, features the 'Neerja' actress as a homosexual and she is getting praises for her brave choice. In the trailer, not much is revealed about Sonam Kapoor's girlfriend and people are now eager to know about the actress playing her partner.

According to latest reports, popular actress from South Film Industry Regina Cassandra is reportedly playing the important character of Sonam's love interest in the much-awaited film.

Speaking about the same, a source told Bollywood Life that, "In ELKDT, Regina plays Kuku, who will apparently fall in love with Sweety (Sonam Kapoor)."

However, Ragini or the makers are yet to react on the same!

For the uninitiated, Regina Cassandra is a known name in South industry and has worked in various Tamil, Telugu and Kannada film. Regina Cassandra was expected to make her Bollywood debut with 'Aakhen 2' but the project did not take off after the announcement. Earlier this year, the reports of Regina making her Bollywood debut with  'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' opposite Rajkummar Rao came out. But now, it has been revealed that she will be seen opposite Sonam Kapoor & not Rajkummar Rao in the film.

Interestingly, Regina Cassandra also featured in Tollywood's first movie on homosexuality titled 'Awe'. However, she played a straight character in the 2018 film which turned out as a successful film at the box-office.

Coming back to 'Ek Ladki Ko Aisa Laga', the film also features power-house performers like Rajkummar Rao and Juhi Chawla in important characters along with Anil, Sonam and Regina.

Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' is all set to hit the big screens on February 1, 2019. Take a look at the film's trailer below:
