Ever since the release of novel series - 'Fifty Shades' trilogy in 2011, almost 102 people were made free from handcuffs and 810 wedding rings were removed from their penis.

Out of 810, the firefighters in London had to use bolt cutters on 23 amorous men to set off the rings being stuck on their penis, reports the Mirror.

Urging the couples to be cautious, the fire brigade asked everyone to think before doing something of this sort for their sexual pleasures.

Director of Operations Dave Brown warned people, if the ring does not fit then do not force it on.

In one of the incidents, the firefighters had to rescue a 'victim' when the doctors were unable to remove two metal rings that were stuck on his penis and had to scrub up and remove the rings using pedal cutters - a hydraulic handheld piece of cutting equipment.

According to the reports, in 2015-16, the firefighters attended 459 people trapped.

"If there's a genuine emergency, fire crews will of course attend and will be on the scene to help within minutes," Brown stated.

The National Health Service has warned if a person is not treated within 24 hours of medical emergency, then the penis may be permanently damaged or develop gangrene and may eventually have to be amputated.
