New Delhi: A special court in Mumbai has granted bail to Dharma Productions’ former executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad earlier today on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. He was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the drug investigation related to Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case. The former executive producer has to deposit his passport for jail. Drugs Case: NDPS Court Grants Bail To Bharti Singh & Her Husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa According to a report in ANI, “Dharma Productions former executive producer Kshitij Ravi Prasad granted bail by Special NDPS court today in connection with a drug case. He has to furnish a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and deposit his passport for bail.”
Kshitij Prasad was arrested on September 26 by the NCB and in its remand application the agency said that Kshitij was in touch with several suppliers and peddlers from whom he used to procure drugs and his judicial custody was needed to unravel whom all he was delivering the contraband in Bollywood. Kshitij Prasad, however, said in a separate statement filed through his lawyer Satish Maneshinde, that he had retracted his earlier statement given to the NCB allegedly under duress. He claimed that NCB sleuths told him they would let him off if he falsely implicated (filmmaker) Karan Johar, Somen Mishra, Rakhi, Apoorva, Niraj or Rahil, but he (Prasad) refused. “That subsequent to September 27, I have been repeatedly harassed and coerced into falsely implicating Dino Morea, Arjun Rampal, and Ranbir Kapoor in the present proceedings, despite me repeatedly stating that I do not know the said persons and have no knowledge of such allegations,” Kshitij said in a handwritten addition to the statement. Meanwhile, the NCB has arrested more than 20 people in the high-profile case. Recently, comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa have also been granted bail after their arrest related to the same case.
