New Delhi: Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Dream Girl 2', which premiered in theatres more than a week ago, is unbeatable at the box office. According to the initial estimates cited by Sacnilk.com, the comedy flick has proven to be an entertainer with a collection of Rs 8 crore on Thursday. In the week since it was released in theatres, the movie has earned Rs 67.5 crore.

The movie starring Ayushmann Khurrana, who portrays himself as Pooja while dressing as a woman, has been favourably accepted by the audience. On Friday, 'Dream Girl 2' earned Rs 10.7 crore, and on Sunday, it brought in Rs 16.4 crore. It had slowed down since Monday, but on Thursday it began to pick up.

The ABP Live of the film reads: ‘Dream Girl’, the first film Raaj Shaandilyaa directed in 2019, introduced an engaging storyline to the audience, and they readily embraced it despite its numerous shortcomings. After four (long) years that witnessed the rise of truly groundbreaking OTT content and a shift in viewership in the post-Covid era, Khurrana needed more than 'nazakat' and two oranges stuffed in his bra to get glowing reviews.

Recently, the actor shared an unseen BTS video of the film where he is dressed up as Pooja. "Unseen video lijiye aap!  #bts #looktest #pooja #DreamGirl2," he wrote.

Raaj Shaandilyaa is the director of 'Dream Girl 2', which was produced by Ektaa R. & Shobha Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Telefilms. The movie is a sequel to the popular 2019 movie 'Dream Girl'. Ayushmann Khurrana's film, which is now showing in theatres, also stars Paresh Rawal, Ananya Panday, Annu Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz, Abhishek Banerjee, Manjot Singh, Seema Pahwa, and Manoj Joshi.
