Bollywood actress Dia Mirza has come out in support of Kangana Ranaut, who was recently abused by Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in a derogatory comment.

Raut had called the actress a ‘haramkhor ladki’ during a TV interview and drew the ire of many social media users including celebs like Dia Mirza.

Expressing her displeasure for the kind of language used by Sanjay Raut, Dia stood in support of Kangana and posted on Twitter, “Strongly condemn the word ‘haramkhor’ used by @rautsanjay61. Sir you have every right to express your displeasure for what Kangana has said but you must apologise for using such language.”

Kangana Ranaut on her part, had reacted to the statement by questioning where were the intolerance debate warriors. “In 2008 Movie Mafia declared me a Psycho, in 2016 they called me a Witch and Stalker in 2020 Maharashtra Minister publicity gave me the title of Haramkhor Ladki, because I said after a murder I feel unsafe in Mumbai, where are INTOLERANCE debate warriors?” Kangana had tweeted.

On a related note, Kangana landed in controversy after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK). While speaking to a news channel, politician Sanjay Raut tagged Kangana as 'haramkhor ladki' for her statement.
