New Delhi: Veteran actor Dharmendra, who frequently shares updates about his life on social media, recently shared a photo with a staff and his family. The actor posted a picture and a message on Twitter announcing that he had named the daughter of a staff member who had worked for him for more than two decades now.

“Chhotu, 25 saal se mere saath hai … Shaadi kar li …. Bitya ka Naamkaran hum se karwaya “Shamlee” ((Chhotu has been with me for the last 25 years. He got married. He made me name his daughter "Shamlee”),” the tweet read.

Recently, Dharmendra released a video of himself listening to the sad song 'Lagta Nahin Hai Ji Mera' and describing the scene as a melancholy evening. The actor quickly clarified that he wasn't sad at all and that he simply enjoys sharing bits of his life with fans on social media when they ask him the cause of his apparent unhappiness.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Dharmendra wrote, “Love you friends, lagta nahin hai ji mera… my favourite. I tweeted it for you… otherwise I am quite happy and healthy. Something more with love to you all. Jeetey raho. Thanks for your loving response.”

On the work front, Dharmendra has teamed up again with his film 'Johnny Gaddaar' director Sriram Raghavan for the film ‘Ikkis.’ The film, also starring Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda, is a war film based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal PVC. He is the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra, who was killed during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971.

He will next be seen in Karan Johar's 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. The film also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan. It will release in theatres on July 28.
