Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has tested positive for COVID-19. The ‘Piku’ star is yet to confirm the development.  A reliable source from Bengaluru told ABP News that Deepika's Coronavirus test report came out as positive. She went into isolation after contracting the virus. The tinsel town diva, who is observing isolation at her home, is taking all precautions after consulting the doctors.


Earlier in the day, we informed you that Deepika’s father Prakash Padukone is recovering from Coronavirus at a Bengaluru hospital. He is expected to get discharged this week. The legendary badminton star was hospitalized after he contracted the virus. Unlike her father, the 'Chhapaak' actress has not admitted to a hospital.


Deepika’s mother Ujjala Padukone and sister Anisha Padukone had also tested positive for COVID-19. A source told ABP News that they are currently doing fine and are at their home. Last month, Deepika and Ranveer were spotted at the Mumbai airport while they headed to Bengaluru. 


On the professional front, the 'Tamasha' actress will be next seen in Kabir Khan's '83'. The sports drama co-starring Ranveer Singh is based on India's 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. The movie is slated to hit the silver screens in June 2021. Deepika is one of the co-producers of the highly anticipated flick.


The leggy lass also has several exciting projects in her kitty. She will be seen sharing screen-space with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in Shakun Batra's yet-to-be titled film. DP will also work with Shah Rukh Khan for the fourth time in YRF's 'Pathan'.


Deepika will team up with megastar Amitabh Bachchan for the Hindi remake of 'The Intern'. Last month, she made the announcement about her new film.
