It is turning out to be a blockbuster Monday as the makers of several films including Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Anek’ and Kartik Aaryan-Kiara Advani starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyya 2’ have announced the release date of their respective projects. Maddock Films and Bake my Cake Films have now unveiled the first poster of their upcoming film titled ‘Dasvi’.
The social comedy will star Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. Abhishek, who was last seen in ‘Ludo’, took to social media to share the first look poster of his character. The ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ star will be seen playing the role of Ganga Ram Chaudhary in the upcoming film. He can be seen sporting a moustache in the movie’s poster.
The cast and crew have commenced the shoot from Monday (February 21). Abhishek shared the update while posting the poster of ‘Dasvi’ on Twitter. He tweeted, “Meet GANGA RAM CHAUDHARY #Dasvi Shoot Begins.”
Yami Gautam, who will be seen essaying the role of a police officer Jyoti Deswal, also shared her first look poster on social media. She wrote, “Meet JYOTI DESWAL #Dasvi Shoot Begins…”
'Airlift' actress Nimrat Kaur will be seen in a different role in 'Dasvi'. She shared her first look poster along with the caption, "Meet Bimla Devi. #Dasvi Shoot Begins." The 'Luncbox' actress is reportedly playing the role of a politician in 'Dasvi'.
‘Dasvi’ will be helmed by Tushar Jalota, who will make his directorial debut with the flick. The movie, presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, has been written by Ritesh Shah. The makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.
