New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan announced a series of initiatives to support the Central and state government in the fight against the Coronavirus Pandemic. The actor, last seen in ‘Zero’, has donated to PM-CARES Fund and the CM’s Relief Fund of Maharashtra and West Bengal to combat the deadly virus. The ‘Chennai Express’ star has also pledged to provide PPE kits to healthcare workers and meals to the underprivileged people & daily wage earners and financial help to the acid attack survivors.

“In these times it’s imp to make everyone around u working tirelessly for u.. not related to u.. perhaps even unknown to u... to feel they are not alone and by themselves. Let’s just make sure we all do our little bit to look after each other. India and all Indians are One Family,” SRK’s tweet read.

Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray thanked Shah Rukh Khan for his generous contribution. "Thank you so much @iamsrk ji for your support," the Maharashtra tourism and environment minister tweeted.

For the uninitiated, Maharashtra is the worst-hit state with over 300 positive Coronavirus cases.

The ‘Raees’ actor replied to the young political leader in the most heartwarming way. King Khan responded back by writing, “We don’t ever have to thank each other during times like these. We r a family. Grateful you are working so hard for Maharashtra and whenever you get alone time...do write a poem or two. Love to you.”

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also expressed her gratitude to the 'Kal Ho Na Ho' actor for his contribution to the state. She tweeted, "Thank you @iamsrk , your contribution will help assist a lot of distressed people during these challenging times. Such humane benefaction will keep inspiring millions in this country who look up to you as their role model with respect and reverence."

The 'Happy New Year' replied to Mamata Banerjee in true blue Bengali style. Quoting Rabindranath Tagore, SRK wrote,"Aami Kolkata, we believe... “I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.”- Rabindranath Tagore."

Shah Rukh Khan gave a similar response to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who lauded his efforts.
