New Delhi: The Coronavirus health scare is wreaking havoc globally. While enough preventive health measures have been suggested by health experts, the people across the world are in state of panic. Coronavirus outbreak has affected Bollywood as well. While filmmakers are cancelling shooting schedules, release dates and other associated events owing to the global Coronavirus pandemic, megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media account today (March 15) and urged fans to not gather at his residence 'Jalsa' breaking his tradition of 'Sunday meet' with fans due to COVID-19.

The 'Sholay' star, who has for years met his fans or "extended family" as he calls them, outside his home in Mumbai, cancelled the ritual of the "Sunday meet" and asked fans to take precautions to stay safe from Coronavirus. Along with the message, Big B also posted a photograph of himself.

He wrote, "To all Ef and well wishers an earnest request! PLEASE DO NOT COME TO JALSA GATE TODAY .. SUNDAY MEET am not going to come! Take PRECAUTIONS .. be safe Sunday ka darshan Jalsa pe cancel hai, Kripya koi wahan jama na ho aaj shaam ko! Surakshit rahein."

On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is busy with various film projects in his hands. Currently, he has films like 'Brahmastra, 'Jhund', 'Gulabo Sitabo' and 'Chehre' in his kitty.

Speaking further about Coronavirus, Ministry of Family and Health Welfare on Sunday updated that the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across India is 107 (including foreign nationals as on 15th March at 12 PM). With 31 cases Maharashtra leads the count.
