Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been hogging all the limelight, all thanks to her comments on the ongoing farmers’ protest. The ‘Panga’ star, who is quite active on social media, even slammed pop star Rihanna for extending support to the farmers’ protest against the farm laws in India. She is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film ‘Dhaakad’ in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district.

Some MP Congress leaders have threatened that they would not allow the ‘Queen’ star to shoot for her movie if she doesn’t issue an apology to the farmers for her tweets. While the Congress leaders have threatened to protest, BJP’s Narottam Mishra has assured that Kangana will not face any issue while shooting for her film in the state.

According to a report in PTI, MP Congress Sewa Dal secretary Manoj Arya and Chicholi Block Congress Committee President Nekram Yadav submitted a memorandum to a tehsildar in Betul on Wednesday. The Congress leaders accused Kangana of maligning the image of the famers.

If the ‘Fashion’ actress did not issue an apology by Friday evening for her comments/tweets against the farmers' protest, she would not be allowed to shoot at Betul’s Sarni, the memorandum said.

Narottam Mishra expressed his displeasure over the same and said that the former MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath should stop its party workers from disrupting the film’s shoot. Mishra addressed Kangana as ‘behan-beti’ and said that he was trying to contact her.

Kangana was quick enough to react to the hullabaloo over her tweets. She tweeted, “I have no interest in politics but it seems Congress will make me a politician.” The tinsel town diva has remained in headlines for her controversial tweets on the farmers’ protest. Twitter deleted two of her posts from its platform for violating the rules.

Talking about ‘Dhaakad’, the cast and crew of the film started the shoot last month in Bhopal. The action thriller also stars Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal in key roles. Kangana will be seen essaying the role of a spy in the film, which is slated to hit the silver screens on October 1, 2021. The makers had shared new posters of the main actors in January.

Kangana also has ‘Tejas’, ‘Thalaivi’ and ‘Manikarnika Returns’ in her kitty. She will play the role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in ‘Thalaivi’.
