Ever since Nana Patekar walked out of Akshay Kumar-Bobby Deol starrer ‘Housefull 4’, speculations of the name of the actors replacing him have been rife in the media. Gossip mills have been buzzing with the rumours that Sanjay Dutt or Anil Kapoor could replace Patekar after his exit. The ‘Aparahan’ actor had to leave the film after being accused of sexual harassment by Tanushree Dutta. It seems the makers of ‘Housefull 4’ have finally found his replacement. ‘Baahubali’ actor Rana Daggubati, who was rumoured to be replacing Nana Patekar, has finally confirmed his presence in the film.

The ‘Dum Maro Dum’ actor, while talking to a leading daily, said that he is looking forward to joining the team and working with them.  Interestingly, Rana Daggubati has previously worked with Akshay Kumar in the film ‘Baby’.

“It is always good to find work outside of Hyderabad, get to learn so much and do so many new things. I’ve never been part of a genre like Housefull and it’s always exciting to work with different genres. Working with Akshay Kumar again (after Neeraj Pandey’s 2015 action-spy thriller Baby), Sajid (Nadiadwala) and Farhad (Samji) is something I am really looking forward to,” Daggubati told Ahmedabad Mirror.

The report in the daily also said that Rana will join the cast and crew of the film this week. The 33-year-old actor is reportedly playing a ghazal singer in the film. The parts of the film that Nana Patekar had shot for in Jaisalmer will now be filmed in Mumbai, the report added.

Talking about ‘Housefull 4’, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde. The flick was earlier being directed by Sajid Khan but he had to step down as the director after multiple women accused him of sexual harassment.
