NEW DELHI: Actor Abhay Deol went on a rant against fairness cream advertisements and celebrities endorsing such products. Vidya Balan, Shahid Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, etc were on his radar.

BJP leader Tarun Vijay, in an interview to Al Jazeera said: "If we were racist, why would we have all the entire south... why do we live with them if we are racist? We have black people around us."

This might have compelled 'Socha Na Tha' actor to post a series of fairness campaigns on his Facebook page. Till now, none of the celebrities have responded to the sensible jibe except his 'Aisha' co-actor. The style diva seemed to be offended by Abhay's post and came out in her defence in the most immature way. Sonam hunted the picture of Abhay's cousin Esha Deol featuring in a fairness cream ad and tweeted, "@AbhayDeol I appreciate and concur with your views and would like to know your thoughts on this as well!”

The actor stuck to his point and said “Is wrong too. For my views read my post.”

Later clarifying, the 'Neerja' actress said that she shot for this ad ten years ago and then she was unaware of the implications. To which Abhay tweeted, "More power to you @sonamakapoor maybe you can use your power as well to take this further than the forefront".

Well, Sonam got trolled for her post on Esha because of which she later deleted all her tweets.
