New Delhi: The period biopic of American nuclear physicist J Robert Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan, will be released on OTT. Back in July of last year, 'Oppenheimer' came out in theatres. Finally, it is available for free of charge streaming in India.

Oppenheimer OTT release

'Oppenheimer' began streaming on Thursday on JioCinema. The film is streaming on JioCinema in both English and Hindi. It is now Nolan's third highest-grossing movie globally, after the Dark Knight trilogy, with a total of around $913 million. Following 'Barbie' and 'The Super Mario Bros.' movie, it's also the third-biggest movie of the year and, after 'Bohemian Rhapsody', the most successful biopic ever.

Oppenheimer movie review

The ABP Live review of Oppenheimer reads: This time around, Nolan delivers his trademark gripping narrative, a top-notch ensemble cast led by Cillian Murphy as Oppenheimer, and breathtaking cinematography. To zero it down, Murphy's peering eyes and the musical score, which does more than half of the work without the actor uttering a single word, are two of the elements that stand out to hold your undivided focus. Nolan steers clear of telling a conventional story about Oppenheimer's fall from glory, given that he is known for taking atypical paths in his movies. He goes on to switch back and forth between a drawn-out probing session and the colossal moments that came before it.

With seven wins at the Oscars 2024 earlier this month—including Best Picture, Best Director, Actor in a Leading Role, Actor in a Supporting Role, Cinematography, Film Editing, and Original Score—'Oppenheimer' took over the other nominees. Best supporting actor went to Robert Downey Jr., Best Actor went to Cillian Murphy, and Best Director went to Christopher Nolan. With 13 nominations overall for the movie, 'Oppenheimer' also headed the 2024 Oscar race.
