As the Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, several Bollywood celebrities took to social media and hailed the order.


'Dabangg' actor Sonu Sood took to Twitter and said that he is "glad" with the Supreme Court's judgement.
"Glad to know The Supreme Court directs CBI to probe Sushant Singh Rajput's case. #JusticeforSushantSingRajput," he tweeted.


Hoping that the truth prevails soon, actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra too lauded Supreme Court’s verdict of handing over the investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).


Parineeti Chopra termed the apex court's order as a "positive step" and urged people to stop speculating and let the CBI work investigate the matter. “

Senior actor Paresh Rawal also took to Twitter and welcomed the Supreme Court's order."SSR Death Mystery. Truth and justice must prevail .Thanks SC . Welcome CBI," he tweeted.


Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s close friend and director of his last film ‘Dil Bechara’ - Mukesh Chhabra on Wednesday welcomed the Supreme Court verdict directing CBI inquiry in the case of the actor’s death.




Earlier, Bollywood actors including Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Kriti Sanon and filmmaker Ekta Kapoor among many others lauded the verdict by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Rajput's death, who was found dead at his apartment in Mumbai's Bandra on June 14.
