And as far their opening day box office is concerned, Pihu that stars two-year-old girl Myra in the title role took a better start than Sunny Deol's much-hyped film Mohalla Assi.

While Pihu made Rs 45 lakh at the box office on its day 1, Sunny Deol starrer could only earn Rs 25 lakh. Though the opening day business of both the films is not anything to talk about, it still gives Pihu some chance at the box office if it can go over Rs 1 crore mark on its day 2 which is today.

Talking about Pihu's box office performance, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and wrote, "#Pihu - an edge of the seat thriller revolving around just one character: a 2-year-old child trapped in an apartment alone - had a slow start on Day 1, but the positive word of mouth should help witness an upturn on Day 2 and Day 3... Fri ₹ 45 lakhs. India biz."
