New Delhi: Friday (September 20) saw the release of three films- ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’, ‘The Zoya Factor’ & ‘Prassthanam’. Interestingly, the three different films belonged to different genres, giving the audience a variety on their platter. The opening day collection of any film is considered very important by the trade experts.

‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’, ‘The Zoya Factor’ and ‘Prassthanam’ couldn’t set the cash registers jingling and performed poorly on day one at the box office. According to a report in BoxofficeIndia.com, Karan Deol’s ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ recorded the highest opening day collection amongst the three films.

The report said that ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ collected Rs 1.1-1.2 crore, while ‘Prassthanam’ minted Rs 75-80 lakhs. Sonam Kapoor’s ‘The Zoya Factor’ failed miserably and could only rake in Rs 65-70 lakhs, as per the report in the website. The three films have received mixed reviews from the critics and movie lovers.

‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ marked the Bollywood debut of Dharmendra’s grandson and Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol. The film also starred Sahher Bambba, who entered the world of showbiz with the love story set in Himachal Pradesh.
