A video of a man wearing the shirt with zomato written on it and carrying a zomato delivery bag behind on his scooter was captured eating from the food packages meant for delivery, while on a halt. The man believed to be the Zomato delivery boy takes one pack out of the bag and with a spoon scrapes food from top and leveling it back up, he places it back in the bag. He doesn't stop there but continues to eat from another pack. In the end of the video, he takes out part of a seal tape from a small packet and ties up the poly-bag with it that was carrying these two food boxes. The video is being widely circulated and you may have seen it too on your Facebook timelines.


While all of us who resort to the online food ordering, and which is a huge number are deeply affected by the video, the celebrities from film and television industry also seem to have been affected by it.

The Mickey Virus' actress and 'Bigg Boss 7' ex-contestant Elli Avram, Sophie Choudry, actor Ashish Chowdhary, 'Bigg Boss 10' winner Manveer Gurjar and singer Bollywood singer Aditi Singh Sharma took to Twitter to share the video and express their disappointment with the company.

Zomato on the other hand has taken note of the video and has been ensuring all who are complaining about it, saying - "Hey Aditi! This is unfortunate and not in line with our beliefs. We take this very seriously and will soon introduce tamper-proof tapes, and other precautionary measures to ensure we safeguard against this. You can read more on this here [link]". Reacting to it in a piece they published on their website addressing their consumers and restaurant partners, Zomato also shares about the man seen in the video, "while we understand that this was a human error in judgement, we have taken him off our platform."
