After three days in cinemas, the film has raked in an impressive Rs 26.05 crore, closing its opening weekend on a strong note. On Sunday alone, it collected Rs 10 crore — a promising sign for a film that entered theatres amid mixed buzz and stiff competition.

Also starring Wamiqa Gabbi, the film opened with Rs 7 crore on Friday, climbed to Rs 9.5 crore on Saturday, and sustained that upward momentum with Rs 9.55 crore on Sunday. Interestingly, the highest turnout was reported in Chennai, where the film enjoyed a stellar 85% occupancy rate. Meanwhile, metro cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, and Chandigarh saw moderate but consistent footfalls, averaging around 25% occupancy.

 

Directed by debutant Karan Sharma, Bhool Chuk Maaf blends rom-com elements with a time loop twist and features an ensemble cast including Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, and Jay Thakkar.

Bhool Chuk Maaf storyline

The story follows Ranjan Tiwari (Rajkummar Rao), a 25-year-old from Banaras who is madly in love with Titli Mishra (Wamiqa Gabbi). Just when the couple is about to elope, Titli backs out. Her strict father (Zakir Hussain) gives Ranjan a condition — he must secure a government job within two months if he wants to marry her. What follows is a quirky, time-loop-driven journey filled with comedy, chaos, and life lessons.
