Sridevi, who is all set with her next hindi film titled 'Mom', was approached for the role before Ramya. But, according to reports, Sridevi's demand for a huge remuneration made the makers rethink their decision. And the role was later offered to Ramya. Rajamouli gave Ramya one of her career-defining roles, and the rest is history now.

Though, it turned out that Sridevi was demanding a whopping Rs 6 crore to star in both the installments of 'Baahubali', as per a report on TOI. Later, Ramya Krishnan was roped in by makers instead. She is rumoured to have only charged Rs 2.5 crore, in the report.
