Harshvardhan Rane is set to star in the upcoming romantic drama 'Deewaniyat,' a musical love story directed by Milap Zaveri. The film, which promises a deeply emotional and intense narrative, was officially announced by the actor on Friday. 


Harshvardhan Rane announces his next film


Taking to Instagram, Rane shared the news with his fans, posting a teaser video of the project. He wrote, "Announcing Our Next: #Deewaniyat. A soul-stirring musical love story starring @harshvardhanrane, following the phenomenal success of the re-release of #SanamTeriKasam. A tale of love, heartbreak, and music that will echo in your hearts forever. In Cinemas 2025." 




Mialp Zaveri on Deewaniyat


Director Milap Zaveri, known for films like 'Marjaavaan' and 'Satyameva Jayate,' has collaborated with writer Mushtaq Shiekh for the screenplay. The film will be produced under the banner of Vikir Films by Amul Vikas Mohan and Anshul Mohan. 


"Deewaniyat is one of the most powerful and heartbreaking love stories I’ve written along with Mushtaq Shiekh. It has the madness of love," said Zaveri.  


Expressing his excitement about working with Rane, he added, "Harshvardhan is a great talent and a wonderful person. Amul and Anshul Mohan are not just incredible producers but also close friends, making this project even more special."

Harshvardhan Rane, who has been in the spotlight recently following the successful re-release of his 2016 film 'Sanam Teri Kasam,' spoke about his enthusiasm for the project. "The power of a love story is eternal, and when I heard the madness, passion, and craziness of the role and script of ‘Deewaniyat,’ I immediately chose it as my next film. Excited to be collaborating with my director Milap Milan Zaveri and producers Amul V Mohan, Anshul Mohan, and the co-writer of this powerful script, Mushtaq Shiekh."

The re-release of 'Sanam Teri Kasam' has been a major success, earning Rs 27.96 crore nett at the box office, significantly surpassing its original earnings of approximately Rs 9 crore. Encouraged by this overwhelming response, the makers of "Deewaniyat" are hopeful about striking a similar chord with audiences.
