The #MeToo movement started in India ever since Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of misconduct on the sets of the film ‘‘Horn Ok Pleassss’. The campaign has gained momentum after ‘Queen’ director Vikas Bahl was accused of sexual assault by a female worker of Phantom Films. The company has now been disolved following the allegations. Ankita Lokhande, who will be making her Bollywood debut with ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, has extended her support to the #MeToo movement.

The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ actress through a series of tweets supported the women who have spoken up against sexual harassment.

Ankita took to Twitter and Instagram to share a post supporting the movement in India.
